Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ (Tshíhz /zi̘/ [raincoat] [floor; ground; bottom (lowest part)]) is a subtropical Town located in the Kririsi̊mù Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ was founded by Gadshèbm Rāka, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ receives an average of 288 cm/y (113 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1768 m (5800 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ was founded durring the late 16th century in spring of the year 1466, by Gadshèbm Rāka. The establishment of Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊'s construction back out of the project. Gadshèbm Rāka pushed on reguardles, and Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ is is constructed arround a series of spacious paverstone mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The would-be-castle fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

The first thing you notice about Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble town. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.

Civic Infrastructure

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊'s parks.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊'s natural decorations nor waterways.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊'s garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.

In Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ rainbows form quite often above the Town.

The Peafowl near Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊ are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Odíhg Tshíhzzi̊'s citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves line dance to channel Abjuration energies of tier 3 via singing.
